Overpay for Kreider, underpay for Saad. Idk who Legare is but if LA can trade Galchenyuk for another 2nd, I think theyd consider it

Poulin was a 1st round pick so its hard to part with 2 1sts round picks for a rental. Make it Simon/Blueger or something

For which trade (also Simon and blueger have extremely different values... Blueger is a good 4C, Simon is a top 6 winger rn)

And yet I'd argue Blueger holds much more value than Simon

Kings would do that. Checks all the boxes for what they're looking for. 2nd round pick and an expansion draft exempt prospect.

However, if another team put up a similar offer where the pick was in 2020, the Kings would probably take that instead.

Penguins haven't had a good defensively minded PK killing center since Bones left. Blueger is just that. He is also pivotal to the chemistry that line has formed. Trading him for a rental is just straight up dumb.

Simon and ZAR are both great defensively as wingers (and good on the PK) and both McCann and Kahun have played a bit at C in their careers and are both also great defensively (plus jugs is big, and obv Tanev is really good on the PK, but that's mostly bc speed)

this whole thread. Massive overpay for the top two trades. The Saad trade, CHI wouldn't except it, but lets be honest. He doesn't hold much value. He's way over paid for what he brings to the ice.
The only way I would even consider trading for Saad is if CHI retained 50%. Don't come at me with the nonsense either. So many of you guys wanted to trade Rust who makes half of what Saad makes and has been every bit the player his whole career.

But people want to take on that 6 million Saad contract. Get lost with that. 50% retention on any deal and he's worth no more than what most of you would have given up for Rust last year which is roughly a 2nd and a B-C prospect.

Simon is in a top-6 winger spot, but Simon is NOT a top-6 winger.

Do you watch the games? Simon doesn't play the PK at all. Teddy's in the top 20 among forwards in PK TOI.

Just bc a guy plays or doesn't play the PK doesn't affect how good he is at it lol

Please vote on poll. You can base your pick on your own opinion . I am also interested in why that trade is most likely to go through.

Hawks won’t touch that. Hawks love Saad, as demonstrated by the season he’s having he’s been a top 3 forward. .33gpg and .55ppg...for a defensive power forward on the 1st line, that’s worth much more then his cap hit to us.

This entire post is bad. Rust is the definition of a role player having a fluke year (see David Clarkson, Matt Belesky, etc)

fluke season my ass. You obviously don't watch the penguins. He has been a gamer since he got to the penguins. He worked his way up that depth chart. Has been a very solid player who helped them win 2 cups being a fast two way player with offensive pop. It surprises no one that watched him to see him having the year he's having.
He is easily been a 20 goal scorer every year if you take out the injuries. Which is why I say there is no way in hell I would ever pay more for a player like Saad who is over paid and over rated.

Rust went from a 30pt player to near Goal Per game PPG player all in one off season while also being 28 years old....yeah totally sustainable from here on out lol. Sell high on his fluke season while you can

you are clueless. Rust had great seasons before being injured. The story line on Rust was always the same. If he could stay healthy he'd break out......well he did.
