Be realistic. We all know PoMo will pencil in Borque and Schilling over Vesa and Niku!

Nah, I think we called him up since he’s the best waiver exempt forward on the Moose right now. We also have absolutely nothing in terms of forward prospects outside of Vesalainen, so I don’t think we’re planning on trading him.

Its pretty crazy to think of all the forward depth and forward prospects this team had just two seasons ago and after some bad trades it's been eroded down to almost nothing.. Lol

Maybe. Where does he fit over the next 2-3 years? He'd have to beat out KC, Laine, Wheeler and Ehlers to be in the top 6.

I would argue that they graduated most of those top prospects, which is exactly what you want to do

I didn't say just forward prospects, I said forward depth as well. The list is pretty long, Tanev, Lemieux, Petan, Armia, Dano all gone with absolutely nothing to show for any of them, there might be some others I'm missing as well.

And yeah the top forward prospects have graduated which is good but it really needs to be asked why can't this team graduate any B-prospect forwards? Like seriously after all these years of this 'draft and develop' plan all they've developed past their 1st round picks is a 4C, (Lowry)3C/LW (Copp), and Appleton which at this point who even knows if he'll last, maybe Harkins will pan out but who knows.
Sorry but I'm just not all that impressed with their track record of development. Tampas 1+2C's were both 3rd round picks, the only Jets 3rd round pick that's amounted to anything is Lowry and he's terrible imo.

This team gets touted as being this great eye for talent and superb at developing young players but idk if that's really all that true.

Chevy really has sat on way too many guys the last few seasons, some trades should've been made to fill holes using some of these guys that were lost for nothing and really some of those guys would look better then some of the guys they're currently rolling out there night after night or other guys should have been moved to make space for some of these guys to graduate onto the team. Maurice wears some of this though for his refusal to give some of these guys a chance and he's still doing it, can't believe he's dressing Bourque over Harkins even though Bourque has cost them goals with needless giveaways in the last couple games, if one of the current or former
B-prospects I listed did that they'd be banished to the press box for a month but the old veteran retreads get multiple opportunities to screw up over and
over yet they get to stay in the lineup.

Chevy hasn't been doing a very good job for quite a while in my opinion, there's more to being a GM then just summer signings and trade deadline day.
