Take out Bracco, Dermott and the 3rd and put in Lilegren and the Wild accept.

Wild and their fans will be incredibly disappointed in the return for Dumba - that proposal above is an overpayment

I think wild accept this trade in a heartbeat... if they decide to move dumba. Think it also works well both ways. Pretty good job.

Then why trade him? We have zero reason to force a trade.

It's a bit of an overpayment IMO, but really if we do trade Dumba it should be for quality and not quantity.

Edit: not that there aren't quality pieces here, because there are, just that I'd rather we go for one really good prospect over a couple solid ones

I think you are right. But I also think some fans with unreal expectations will be very disappointed if a fair trade goes through.

Ca not trade 2021 1st pick because it is conditional pick, that is still in play in the Carolina deal. If Toronto fails fo make the playoffs and draft within the top ten, then pick is retained by Toronto and 2021 pick becomes Carolina pick.

I think Kapanen and Dermott are two very solid pieces that could work very well. Pair Brodin and spurgeon and suter with Dermott. Kapanen has grown a lot. He’s no longer a speedy winger with individual skills. His IQ has him up dramatically and his puck possession is much better.

I would hate to give up what we are in this trade. But if you want a player like dumba you have to give up some nhl pieces.

Don’t suppose you would just take our next 3 1st round picks... lol.

Soucy is not being split up from Brodin (if Dumba moves instead of him) and Suter is not being split up from Spurgeon though. Dermott would be third pairing, which is fine but I'd still rather get Liljegren and scrap Bracco from the deal.

Not really. A middle-6 wing (not needed), a not needed LD, and a guy who will be waiver fodder next year + a mid-late 1st. It's really just a bunch of stuff.

Watch Dermott play and don’t go by his stat lines. They are deceiving. I would hope air him up with suter and let him go. Would also give him pp time. He would blossom quickly if he had more of a chance. I don’t think leafs would move him anyway but it might be good for his career.

Lol... did you just call Dermott waiver fodder? Just so you know... he is good and can play the right side.

Suter ain't allowing it is my point there. He whines when he isn't with Spurge. And Soucy/Brodin have been insanely good together so they aren't splitting up.

Wow high hopes for a struggling 2nd pair Dman who has been sheltered by the likes of Brodin, Spurgeon and Suter. The trade proposed is more than fair for what Dumba is

I like Dermott, he's just not a good fit for MN. They are heavy on d-men.

He really isn't struggling so much as getting unlucky. Leads the team in shots playing on the third pairing and second PP unit. Trending upward his whole career and has only dropped off this one season. Wouldn't be shocked to see him hit 70 points the next few years, no matter what team he's on.

Brodin/Soucy got spit up shortly after Spurgeon got healthy.
