New Lines after break

Created by: TrueNorth
Team: 2019-20 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 20, 2020
Published: Jan. 20, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Give Vesalainen a shot at NHL top 6. The vote of confidence might help draw out his potential. If the Jets can't find something that works in the first five games back after the break, it will be too late for this season.

With copp and roslovic, wouldn’t be terrible, but Maurice probably doesn’t give that line the needed minutes. I’d like to see vaselainen with a little more speed than wheeler, possibly scheifele and connor or ehlers or possibly laine

Maurice has said that he likes Perreault-Copp-Roslovic, so if that line stays then Vesa would be in the top-six. Maybe a Vesalainen-Scheifele-Ehlers line? Vesa plays that grind game that Scheif plays, so maybe they can complement each other.

Sad thing is, this coach would do something ridiculous like put out Ves on L4 and move borque up the lineup

I'd like to see him get a chance, but it isnt as though he's banging on the door with his AHL play

Adversity creates opportunity. Bringing him up to sit in the press box or play fourth line minutes won't help his development. Give him a chance and see if it lights a spark. Little and Lowry won't be back for a month so here's your chance kid. Roslovic and Copp have been given their shots with mediocre results.

There is value in having him up with the team, practicing with NHLers and, of course, making that NHL money, but you're right. With guys out of the lineup for a month it would be dumb for him not to get a shot.
