Detroit declines, this is a lateral move and does nothing for Detroit except get a worse draft pick

I don’t see why Toronto makes that move. I would much rather keep kappy. Rangers fans are trying to turn nothing into something. You will get a pick and a prospect for Georgiev if he is even traded. Maybe a young bottom 6 player.

Once again Ryan Strome couldn't cut with the Islanders or Oilers, So why would Detroit be interested in him?

Exactly.

Kapanen is a top-6 winger, the Leafs depth means he's playing a bit lower than that. Doesn't mean the production hasn't been on that level. He's also one of the most versatile forwards on the Leafs, so that's not worth it. Georgiev isn't nearly as good as what Rangers fans think he is.

I see we are ignoring the reports of very reputable journalists that say Kapanen is on the table?

We aren't ignoring those reports. But we know what Kapanen is worth and it's certainly a fair bit more than Georgiev.
