Zero chance in hell that Tyler Johnson leaves Tampa for Edmonton. He's not waiving and leaving a good situation for himself.

. But Johnson has morphed into a 45 point player. Iffy if worth 5m, and teams aren't giving up that much for him in a trade.
I don't know how Tampa is going to rid themselves of cap next summer. But players aren't going to fall on the sword for their ex team Tampa, just so the real Tampa team can be cap compliant.

His ntc has nothing to do with waivers. Does Johnson waive for Buffalo or get claimed by Detroit???

Johnson does not want to go to Edmonton and edmonton is not interested in moving their first rounder this season cause they are still rebuilding. Massive overpay from Edmonton. Look at what JT miller was traded for and he is better than johnson

This is very true. He isn't worth a 1st + 2nd, and especially when teams know Tampa is in a tight spot cap-wise. JT Miller got a protected 1st + 3rd, I'd rather have him any day.
