That Ovechkin contract is a franchise killer. $11.5M starting when he is 36 and continuing for 8 years...

I think that Murray is out of Pittsburgh. Whether he gets traded before the deadline, traded at the draft, or Rutherford simply allows teams to offersheet him after 7/1 and then collect the compensation. If offersheeted, (obviously not including what happens the rest of this season) I would think that someone would go over $4.3M cap, but I do not see someone going over $6.3M, so the Pens would get a 1st and a 3rd.

Remember how Canes twitter reacted to the Aho offer sheet? You'd get the same from CBJ twitter over that Andy sheet. Matched easily and probably with a thank-you note and fruit basket sent to the Caps front office.
