When 37% of your team is injured, its a tad difficult to win...I get it if 1 to 3 guys are injured but holy....This is gonna be difficult over the next few weeks

What a line up!!
As a jets fan I am frustrated with this season so far, but some "fans" are going a bit too far. The jets have built in excuses to why they arent in the playoffs, but they are still in the race. #1 team in man games lost and its only getting worse and this stupid Buf situation handcuffing Chevy is absolutely ridiculous. Im confident they'll put some W's together on the road and get back into a WC spot before the player break

Would be better to have Harkins on the 3rd line but likely won't happen.

So glad I won't be watching Lowry for a month.

All we need is the top WC spot. I don't want to play in the Central during the playoffs.

I like that forward lineup, looks good actually but that defense is a mess, don't get why Maurice is still dressing Bitetto and not anyone else, Nogier should be playing tonight ahead of Bitetto.

I'm certain that both Western Conference wild card teams are coming out of the Pacific Division, for the Jets to make the playoffs I think they're gonna have to get 3rd in the Central but I'm not sure that's possible.

This is a hot take, but I kinda like Bitetto's game. He's limited for sure, but he's a big part of the re-surging PK. At the start of the season I wanted him in the A, but with all the injuires and issues he's kinda deserved the spot. If the jets continue to slide however, Maurice needs to play the kids for sure

Really? I would say the jets have a better chance of beating out the Canucks or Coyotes then the Avs or Stars, but I'll take which ever spot haha

First thing I thought about when the Lowry injury news came out was how happy some guys would be on capfriendly haha

I hear that, well said. Hoping we make a move sooner rather than later for some help on D but like you said, Buff situation is absolutely screwing us.

The Jets have less games played then the WC teams...If they win the difference, they are in a playoff spot...It will be easier to get the 7th or 8th spot then 3rd in the division

Unless McDavid gets hurt yes, I don't see any of the other four Pacific teams having big fall offs and if we're being honest with ourselves all of those teams are better built teams then the Jets are.

Yeah maybe. But the jets have shown they can win games and play well enough to beat these teams. One thing for sure, they gotta get healthy or make a move on the back end. Effing Buf

Are we sure they can win games anymore??

If Andersen and Markstrom have better games or the Canucks don't hit so many posts/miss open nets we could very easily be talking about a 6 game losing streak right now.

I just can't hang this all on Buff without knowing all the details, Chevy had to know something was up and if he didn't that's a failure on his part.

I dont know what the jets can do but Im not ready to throw the season away in January.
Nobody is hanging this all on Buf, but the jets could sure use him or his cap space. And it was him to elected to have surgery in November for an apparent injury from last season. dont know what Chevy couldve done about that. All reports were that he was healthy and was ready for training camp

I'm not so much giving up on the season but with Maurice at coach I don't have much hope for this team.

If the defense is the issue and he was handcuffed by the Buff situation and not knowing what cap space he has to work with then he needs to create cap space and he could do that by trading Lowry, that'd be almost $3M in cap space and if he could find a new home for Perreault that'd be another $4M.

There's likely moves out there that could be done without selling major assets but maybe they'd rather tank for a good draft pick idk.
