Description
Think the pens need a LHD because you can see how losing one LHD really throws the pens into scramble mode and if it happens again, they will want to be better prepared.

Daley is the cheaper option and could fill in on the third pair and play top four if absolutely necessary as he has been in Detroit and is a good fit with the pens as we've seen in the past.

Brodie is a bit more expensive, but would become a mainstay in the top four for the pens and put Pettersson in a more sheltered 3rd pairing role that would give him a chance to work back to the form he had last year. Brodie would be a very good fit as he is a great skater and moves the puck well which fits Sully's system and plays penalty kill and has played a top pair role in the past so could eat lots of minutes and replace Dumo well if he gets hurt again, but he has been on the outs in Calgary for a little now as they have looked to move on from his contract in the past.

The pens would then look for a replacement for Guentzel and hopefully not mortgage the future to do so.

Think it has to be Toffoli, right? He fits in cap wise and can add scoring.

What about brining Sheary back? I watch very little Pens games and dont know the situation before he left, but he did have success once upon a time

You think putting anyone who can skate and shoot in that spot would produce results.

I don’t think Daley can play anymore. He should probably retire at the end of the season.

The analytics suggested that Sheary is pretty good but he’s actually pure garbage.

the penguins trade for Daley to put him on IR the next day?
yeah no, they don't.
He's made of glass and everyone in Pittsburgh knows that.
