We like Gudas. I think we'd be willing to part with Jensen for picks though.

I would take gudas but I've heard he hasn't been great this season and hes on an expiring contract

This is pretty fair to get Soupy, any chance we could get Woll or Scott instead?

Gudas has actually been pretty good for the Caps. It's Jensen that isn't really living up to expectations. I'd be in favor of extending Gudas since we don't have a ton of RHD in our system, and he can play on the second and third pairings pretty effectively.

I dont think the leafs will give up woll but maybe scott but it would probably be like scott and a 5th or something like that. If I were a kings fan in this trade I would rather have the 3rd, it's very hard to predict goalies because theres so much random variation and scott hasn't been great in the ahl. Hes been injured and hes still young so he most likely will get better but I just dont know about him. To my eyes hes to athletic and all over the place. These days most goalies rely on positioning to make saves, scott is diving all over the place which you can do in the lower levels but it probably wont work in the nhl. Maybe he will turn into the next Fleury (who is all over the place) but I would bet hes more of a garret sparks. I really dont know because it's almost impossible to predict goalies

No I'm with you, if we can't move Quick in the off season we will likely have to lose either Campbell or Petersen to waivers, so a move will be required before the beginning of the 20-21 season. However the issue is we will have to waive Kaskisuo to play in the AHL as well.

While I do not like Gudas, I do not see the Caps trading him out. He is the kind of guy that a contender might trade FOR at the deadline, not trade away. A physical, grinder D for the physical grinder of a 7 game series against Bruins, Islanders, Penguins, Lightning, etc...

Kaski probably wont get claimed. Hes pretty much an ahl goalie who can fill in as a backup if you need him but even then he isnt the best option to do so. At this point hes a depth player and you wouldn't necessarily want him as your starter on your ahl team if the ahl team was going for the Calder cup.
