5 million for Burakovsky is a hard pass. Adding those two goalies is a big mistake, Grubauer and Francouz are fine. Kovalchuk will be far too old. Plus, he's never played the 4th line role in his career, so that won't work. Colorado could do much better.

Burky's contract will depend on how he finishes off this season and how he looks in playoffs. I doubt we lock him up for 4 years with it but it could be up to 5 mil for sure. Odds are he will be in the 50-60 point rage come the end of the year which is fine for that price.
I think the smith signing is pointless with the goalies we have now but binnington wouldn't be the worst goalie to grab, i highly doubt st louis lets him walk to free agency though.

Burakovsky $4 127 525 for 4 years
Makar $8 125 750 for 8 years
Landeskog $7 875 000 for 5 years
Binnington will likely stay with STL
No point in Smith when Grubauer
Kovalchuk gets 2-3 million for 1-2 year

hes going to be a tough contract. 3.5mish Qualifying offer, he is putting up a career year pace of 50+ points, 20+ goals. The market is probably going to push him around 5m.

It's his first year doing that though, could get away with a prove it bridge perhaps.
