Juulsen is totally unproven, TOR says no. They'd do Bracco for Juulsen maybe ahaha

Montreal so rarely gets given free stuff that this would be pretty sweet for the Habs.

Thats the problem with your team in that you do not even realize what you have in Juulsen and are ready to give up on him.

Honestly if it weren't for Juulsen's injury troubles I'd say this is a bad deal for MTL, but the Leafs are taking on a risk that balances out the chance of Bracco turning out to be just an AHL star who can't transition to the NHL. To me this deal is young RHD with proven 2nd pair ability, do to his play while Weber was injured, for a 3rd line LW and a potential 2nd line RW, which favours MTL but not as much as some of the comments act like.
Although I will admit I'm a Habs fan who might be overvaluing Juulsen based on a small sample size.

Juulsen's future is so much in doubt -- and the Habs have enough depth at RD -- that passing on two solid players like Bracco and Johnsson would be foolish.

I actually think Juulsen is a special hockey player with a huge heart and fierce competitiveness and think you are giving up on him. He actually made your team last year before being injured and is getting his game back in form.

How is he getting his game back? He sat out until November, played a dozen games, had 3 assists and promptly went back onto the LTIR. It's possible that he could still get healthy, regain his confidence and resume his NHL career as a bottom-pairing Dman. It's just as possible, though, that he'll continue to be plagued by the head injury and never get his eyesight, head or confidence back. Bracco and Johnsson aren't chopped liver, so the responsible move is to take the package this is most likely to render a return. The odds are better that the right decision would be to take what's on the table.
