thanks. a lot of sabers fans on here think their bad players are great even though their not. I kind of just threw this together but theyve got some good pieces but they need to work on development. mittlestadt was absolutely awful but they kept him up for some reasons. they traded their good players away during the rebuild so when their high picks came up they had no base to build off of. ROR would be amazing for this team

Yeah most of them do and it’s ridiculous. I also think it might take Mittlestadt some more time to get used to the NHL

Risto for a cap dump and a winger with less production is a no.

Don't even know where to start with the Montour trade

That Montour trade is appalling... We would have no interest in Ceci, JVR, Perreault or Hunt... These trades all do absolutely nothing for Buffalo. You don't trade a top 4dman to get a fourth liner as your only quality piece... If that was what we were gonna trade Risto for, it would have already happened... Lastly, giving up a 1st round pick for a winger on the wrong side of 30 is not "tearing it down"... You should probably try to get some kind of a clue before you post again bud because this is horrendous...

Theyre 8 points out of a wild card spot and have been missing 2 of their top 6 forwards for a month. No

You traded Montour for legitimately nothing and Risto for a forward with less production than Risto, when theyve been good for Buffalo this year. Sabres would 1000% keep them if those were the offers. Especially if that leaves Miller as their #1 rhd. Sabres also have no need for the Minnesota trade at all and have no reason to give up a first for JVR, especially when you said to tear it down

montour is awful, ceci has better xG numbers. at least buffalo could walk away from ceci, montour is an RFA. that goes without mentioning moore and a 3rd, buffalo wins and its not even close. i sorry to tell you the truth but hes never been good.

roslovic and perreault will turn it around when they get better opportunity. risto is hurting the sabers 5v5 and is on a pdo bender, he will come back down where as perreault has been extremly unlucky. roslovic will be very good in the future

ceci>montour. hunt is very good and could be a 2nd pairing defenseman. perreault will regress and could be a valuable piece, roslo will be good. If JVR is used properly he wont decline that much in 4 seasons. if hes heavily sheltered and given tons of powerplay time with good players hes a lock for 60ish points. If you looked closely there is a 2nd in the philly trade, the expected value between a late 1st and an early 2nd (which is what could happen if they made this trade) isnt that different. especially a 2021 1st. thank you for the imput but maybe look closely and think about what is proposed before making statements like the one you made

Hes awful offensively at 5v5 and on the PP. Below average defensively at 5v5, absolutely garbage on the penalty kill. Brutal penalty differential, terrible transitional play and hes a bad shooter.

So if hes bad offensively, below average defensively, terrible on special teams, bad puck mover, takes quite a few penalties without drawing many and not even a good scorer what is he good at?

You're right, ceci is all of those things which means he doesn't get you a quality top 4 dman
