Still pretty decent. The fact that his contract is going to expire after next season makes it a bit more palatable, and the fact that the Ducks aren't playing that well and they bought out Corey Perry this off-season probably means they aren't going to just keep those guys around to keep them around.

Probably a first, an A/B prospect, and a young roster player, if I had to guess.

ye. The Ducks wont be competitive for couple seasons. Ryan would be closer to his 40s.

Where would you play him? I'm pretty sure he would not waive for family reasons

Very true. Solid value considering his age and contract, but I don’t see why he’d waive.

Why would he quash going to Colorado? They have a great shot of at least making a deep playoff run, which is better than he'll see in two or three years in Anaheim. Perhaps family and home is more appealing than playing on a winning team, but that usually is not how a pro athlete thinks.

For sure, if that was his motivation he might think about it.

He’s got one already though, and sometimes guys like to be home (SoCal), with close to their families (See: Ryan Miller). Given that he’s been the face of the franchise for so long, I feel like he might want to finish his career there.

Who knows though

When it comes to moving your kids out of the place they've always lived, away from friends and family... some say that
