That gets you close to Hanafin but not Bennet as well. Would probably be Kapanen + liljegren in the package to actually get Calgary to the table.

In no universe would I give up nylander for Hanafin,

A team that needs an offensive lhd, like Montreal would certainly offer better.

I don't even think it gets you close to Hanifin although I do agree that Kap + Liljegren would open discussions.

People on this site have a huge hard on for Hanafin. Mostly because of his draft position. His game is okay and he is young with room to grow (unfortunately he hasn’t shown many signs of that yet). Leafs don’t need another lhd. The trade makes little sense. I am a huge flames fan and I know why he is on the block. Flames don’t need lhd they need rhd and RW. A true 1C would be nice too. Hanafin has really good value in a trade especially with the great contract. I don’t think they are seeing him as a true number 1 stud Dman in the future. His offensive game has been okay. Nothing spectacular and his Dgame has been lacking.

I mostly agree, the current package doesnt get Hanifin. Hanifin as it stands right now doesnt get Nylander. Could he in a couple years, maybe, depends on his progression. It took Seth Jones until at least 25 to get to his draft caliber, defense take longer to develop. Leafs certainly should not be after him because he will cost too much and they dont need LD

Leafs have to lern if you want go players you have to give up good players.Or you not do and not win a round for the next 10 years.

I think a publicly trade-demanding Bracco gets you RFA rights to Travis Boyd or Christian Djoos, if either of them also wants a change of scenery. Plus a late pick to balance age.

Hanifin would cost Detroit easily Mantha, No way you're getting Hanifin for Kapanen try more like Nylander for a starter.
