Labanc is a fine player, but a half point per game player for an NHL ready good d prospect, a 1st, and a 2nd, is beyond bonkers.

A good prospect a late first late second is a lot so it depends on how much Boston loves labanc. If they think he can improve over last season and he's a 65 pt winger then you probably have to do it. You can bet he isn't going to give you a break on his salary so with him debrusk and Krug you have to juggle.

You can’t really rate Bankers performance on a team that is slumping as a whole. He’s a power play machine and his upside is still quite high. He’s definitely a top six player on most teams.

That said sharks certainly decline this deal as they don’t need a defenseman. If they move Banker and Melker this year that leaves them with zero right hand shots on the whole forward corps. They will need to find a trading partner willing to give up a RW B+/A- prospect in return along with a 2nd.

Ferraro has already cenented a spot in the D corps and Merkley and Kniazev are only a year or two away.

They never get an offer near this strong

I would take this, although more D prospects are useless for us so a forward would be more ideal if possible

Doesn’t matter. It isn’t the right offer. And I’m sure you’re the authority LOL

restricted free agent so trading for his rights so we can resign, he had 56 points last year, sharks suck this year and thats probably what it would take to get him because i don't think the sharks really even want to trade him.

I am well aware of all of this. Still a preposterous amount to trade for him.

Lol. You said literally the opposite. Since when is, “i would take this,” and, “the sharks certainly decline this deal,” the same?

a first, second and a B level prospect will be the going rate for the high end rentals like Krieder and Palmieri (most likely neither resign if we trade for them) at the deadline at least Labanc is a RFA with a high ceiling at only 24 years old. Bruins are in win now situation core players are only getting older plus a first second and prospect doesn't take anyone out of the line up. Lauzon will be a good Dman but Labanc would make an immediate impact.

First off, palmieri isn’t a rental.
Secondly, a 1st, 2nd, and prospect, has never been the going rate for a high end rental. Maybe an elite rental. Maybe a Taylor hall, but not a labanc.

there was a rumor that rangers wanted a first and a 3rd for kreider. i dont think they will get more than a first and a b level prospect. that being said. kreider is a known commodity. Labanc has one good season and all of a sudden hes worth taylor hall prices? get out of her. Mark stone didnt even get a 1st round pick as trade comp.
