Larsson is not worth more than Kapanen. Edmonton adds a fair amount as well. Larsson is only an upgrade over Ceci on TO, he's still a bottom 4 defender while Kapanen who is bottom 6 in TO would be top line in Edmonton.

How about larsson straight up for Kapanen?

Both your proposed deals are overpays by Toronto. Maybe that's what it would take to land Larsson, but then the Leafs would say no. If this is all getting done during the offseason, as your AGM proposes, then I would imagine any deals Toronto makes will get much more creative, probably get the Leafs back a 2020 1st rounder, and get a young D with control.

I have already answered that, Edmonton adds. Larsson isn't good. He's never been good and for so many people, they just don't even bother to check into him. He's the guy that was traded for Hall and that has people thinking he's still a top 4 defender. He isn't. He has failed at being a top pair guy, miserably failed at it. He's been fine as a 2nd pair defender but his advanced stats are not good nor have they ever been good. He's best suited to be a bottom pair defender. Larsson is small upgrade over Ceci.
