Now i did this quickly, but there isnt much room here as Pittsburgh would need another LD to at least split time with Riikola and Lafferty shouldn't be full time 3rd liner. Kahun probably shouldnt be in the top six either, so they would need another top 6 forward which isnt cheap. Burns at 8 M for 5 years makes things difficult.

just means i didnt put a lot of time into making other deals. basically the idea was to show @yikes that the Pens dont have room for Burn's 8M cap hit

Why shouldn't Kahun be in the top 6?

I believe he is more of a 3rd liner. He reminds me of a better finishing Simon but not consistent what-so-ever. Would prefer him on the 3rd line with the ability to fill in if needed.

I feel like Pettersson at 4 is a tad high but maybe I wrong. Same with Murray at 5 but once again this is all speculation. It’s close to not being a fit either way just a good discussion of the idea anyways

Well, Pettersson was forced to take a discount this season, i was trying to take that into account. I expect Murray to make around there but his value is difficult to gauge.

Murray is a tough case but he is essential to winning more cups as far as we know for now so he’ll be signed in the end. Either way the pens are in prime position to get more cups for Crosby and Malkin. They have done great development and drafting albeit some inconsistentency (Simon and etc)
