Would FLA be willing to part with 1 of their top prospects for a playoff run this year? Personally, I'd want to target Tippett, but idk if he might be untouchable for the Panthers.

A) FLA likely rejects; if a first is coming back for Kreider, not much else will be coming back with it.
B) If FLA wants to make a trade they will have to send back a decent chunk of salary to the other team to stay cap compliant.

Borgstrom is looking like a bust, not a top prospect. Even trades: Borgstrom for Lias. Kreider for decent 1st. Yet we want a good prospect for Kreider more than picks. Tippett or Noel are the targets

Any short term contracts FLA would part with to make them cap compliant? Pysyk maybe?

I think Kreider is going to go for a 1st and a prospect. I'd look at the Kevin Hayes trade last deadline for a comparable.

Drop Lias and Rangers accept...

1st + Noel will probably be closer though.

I don't think Borgstrom for Lias is even. Borgstrom has out produced Lias at both the NHL and AHL levels.

As for targeting Tippett, I think FLA would hang on to him because they will probably lose one of Dadonov/Hoffman this offseason, and Tippett could replace the one they lose.
For Acciari, yea he has 18 goals, but only 3 assists for 21 pts in 46 games. His shooting percentage is an absurd 24.7. His career shooting percentage before this season was 8.7%. I'm not interested in a 28 year old career 4th liner who's having a lucky season.

I probably would not use Hayes as a comparable. Centers historically yield more of a return at the deadline. If Kreider did not start producing at the rate that he has as of late, I probably would have figured a return similar to Zuccarello last year. If NYR receive a first, expect a B prospect to go along with it. I would guess Heponiemi (who has struggled to adjust to NA) or Saarela. Pysyk would make sense to erase the cap issue, but I really do not see FLA making a deal for a forward. They already have a high octane offense. They may look for blue line help or a backup goalie. The only player I can really see going to FLA at the deadline from NYR's roster is Georgiev, and even that I do not see happening.

Doubt it would be Noel. See above for response.

Great I'll use Rick Nash as a comp...lol who got more than Hayes....Wouldn't use last year's deadline as a comp since it was entirely oversaturated with Top 6 F's. This year the options are wayyy more limited so the price will naturally return to what it was beforehand.

Where Rick Nash returned a 1st, Lindgren (Bruins recent 2nd rounder), Spooner (a .5 pt/gm player for cheap), and a cap dump.

Now realize Kreider is 4 years younger, better and half the cap hit....lol.

If we're using that model it's 1st + Noel ++

Sure but one could easily argue that demand is down, especially with an upcoming deep draft. Nash's return was also higher because, as you mentioned, Rangers were taking on salary (Beleskey, but also Spooner). And Lindgren was expendable if you look at what Bruins still have on the blue line in the minors.

I was only saying historically the prices for wingers are less than centers. I think the best comparison to use is Evander Kane to SJS. I think you might have your expectations a little high and might get disappointed, but hopefully I am wrong.
