As a Wild fan, the return is sh*t, but the targeted pieces are an interesting one. Could consider something like Zucker/Dubnyk/Foligno for Galchenyuk/Murray/Hallander/Legare/2020 1st/2021 2nd...

Dubnyk has negative value to me, Hallander+first seems fair for Zucker (probably win for PIT) and while I love Foligno, he's not worth Murray alone, much less murray Galch (probably 0 value, but still) Riikola, AND the negative value of Dubnyk

Wutt? Galchenyuk > Foligno, Murray >> Dubnyk, Zucker = 1st + prospect. It’s a massive overpay for Pittsburgh. Minny would be insane not to accept that and GMJR would be insane to offer that at all

Thats a fair assessment from your POV, but its also not a good look from a pens fans POV. What you are suggesting for those players is too much for the pens. Unless we are getting some star player like gallagher, rakell, etc. i wouldnt even think about putting poulin or legere out there for trade discussion. Any picks we trade for this year will have to require a return that will make us for sure contenders without running the risk of "this player may or may not work". The draft is too deep to trade a 1st or 2nd for ifs and maybes in my opinion. But opinions do differ. I think a different deal can be made for zucker without involving foligno and dubnyk as they are not at all needed on the pens

Yeah overpayment, meant to switch Hallander to Legare, but forgot to drop Hallander from the weird way I listed it.

Foligno is better than Galchenyuk this year statistically speaking and is signed for another year at a reasonable cost. Dubnyk and Murray are both like bottom-5 goalies in the league this year, so that's more like a trade off to see if change of setting helps either. Wild could add $ retention on Dubnyk to help Pittsburgh with cap space.

Zucker is probably worth a good prospect and the 1st, so I'd say the debatable part is the 2nd rd pick. Could live without it, but I think the Foligno for Galchy swap should see at least a 6th going back to Minnesota. He's been one of our hardest working players out there all year.

That counter actually got a laugh out loud. Take out Legare and the 1st and it's still too much. Zucker is a non physical, 45 point, meh defensively guy. People need to stop grossly over rating him.

Foligno only has 4 more points than Chucky, plays more ATOI than chucky, has been on the wild for more than one year, and hasn’t had to switch linemates everyday cause of an insane amount of injuries. The fact that everyone says chucky has been crap this year and only has 4 less points than the guy (who’s having a career year) that he’s being traded for can tell you that chucky is better, if not much better than foligno.

Murray has been inconsistent for sure, but he’s only 25 and has time to grow. Dubnyk is maybe on the down side of his career.

Zucker is the only good part of the deal coming back to the pens. Especially since the pens already have multiple Foligno like players.

If Minnesota does a deal like this, they may be looking to double down and flip Chucky and Murray as well for picks, but in either case, it’s pretty obvious we have our own opinions of players and what it would take to “win” a trade for each of our respective teams. Really the last change I’d listen to that might even out the trade is swapping Foligno for Greenway. Similar size, play style, only 22, lots of potential left. Other that, I think we’re on different pages and I hope Guerin is not an idiot like our last GM.

Guerin isn’t an idiot. I was hoping he would stay and take over for GMJR. He’d be an idiot though if he acquired Murray than flipped him right away lol.
