I don't think the younger guys need to go. Beaudin, Klimchuk and Carcone are all minor leaguers who can play up and down. Beaudin is looking okay on the 4th line. Paul has had some decent spurts, its just a shame he's hurt. I think Tierney is decent enough to keep around but if someone is going to offer the moon for Pageau, I'd say take it. Otherwise keep him around. You need NHL players for a bit while the kids develop.

My big issue is if they get 1 or 2 youngster at a time coming up and then pairing them with scrub veterans, that they might lose their offensive skills and confidence. Look at how say Formenton-Norris-Batherson is playing. Why not make them a 3rd line next year, playing together at every league helps them build confidence and get better. I remember when Ottawa played a kid line of Hoffman-Pageau-Stone look how that turned out.

Yeah, they traded Hoffman and Stone and soon Pageau :P...

No, I get that logic. I'm excited to see if Formenton-Norris-Batherson-Brown-Balcers can all translate their success to the big leagues. But, we need some current NHL players like Tierney, C.Brown and Pageau to lead the way for them to excel. Which is why I'm super not over Stone being traded.

What I would do: sign Brown and Duclair to 4-6 year deal. Tierney and Demelo to 2-3 year deals. Sell high on Pageau. Once Norris is ready maybe mid next season, trade Tierney. Once 1 of Thomson or JBD is ready trade Demelo. Roll with Nilsson, Hogberg until Daccord or Gus is ready. Then trade Nilsson

Pretty well for Florida. Very well for Vegas. Pending on Pageau.
Had they kept all three studs together...
