I think the Flames have an iron grip on Hanifin since they're thinking that contract is going to look really good especially in the last 3 years of it. Tatar and Scandella only yield in the short - term and Tatar will only get more costly if the Flames re-sign him. The 2nd rounder does help remedy these issues though. Their left side looks bad for a win now situation after this. The second or third pairing will have Scandella or Kylington on them. Would maybe be better if Valimaki was healthy. Even then that's a lot of inexperienced talent for a win now.
