Completely undervalued AA on this trade. For comparisons lets look at what Andre Burakovsky got. Colorado gave up a 2nd, a 3rd and a decent AHL'er. Burakovsky over his years has averaged 12 goals a season and about 30 points a season. And that's on a highly skilled Washington Team with lots of talent around him. AA on the other had is averaging close to 20 goals a season and around 37 points a season. On a team without much talent around him. Not to mention AA is a hell of a lot faster than Burakovsky. If Burakovsky is pulling in a 2nd and a 3rd. AA will get more. If not Detroit should most definitely keep him.

OK so I can say that 9 million for holtby is kinda nuts and if he gets anywhere close to that I'll be shocked. No way they spend 9 million on a 30 year old goalie.

AA is worth more then just a 2nd round pick, And Glendening is worth more then a 5th round pick as well. No way on giving Holtby 7 x 9 and Barrie wants 7 x 8 both can go elsewhere. Bertuzzi will get at least 6 x 5.5 he's on a pace for 60 points this season. Probably something around 7 x 6.5 or 8 x 6.5 for Mantha due to his injury.

Kinda curious how is AA worth more then a second? He’s had 1 good season?

What does one good season have to do with it? He's still an RFA under team control for two more seasons. He has speed and can make plays happen put talent around him he'll do better. Yzerman wants a 2020 2nd round pick+b level prospect preferably LHD prospect and wont take anything less.

The point you just made is why Detroit keeps AA for another season.
