Kings would gladly trade you Voynov. I think they'd prefer Der-Arguchintsev or a draft pick simply because Timashov is expansion draft eligible and would take a protection slot.

With such a willing partner and a player with relatively little value, I would call SDA, Robertson and Bracco as the no gos for this.

Really? I didn't think SDA was such a highly touted prospect. I'm sure they'd take someone like an Ian Scott or even just a 3rd round pick.

He may not have played in the NHL in 4 years but he has been playing every year in the KHL as a top Dman and was Russia's top pairing dman at the Olympics while being a top 4 dman on one of the most successful defensive teams of the era when he did last play in the NHL. We dont need someone who can push Ceci off the lineup, we need someone who can push Barrie down it to end the Reilly - Barrie pairing. If you can point me to a cost controlled option who has that potential upside that we can afford to trade for without moving a core piece like Nylander(or quite frankly thats going to cost more than Nylander alone) Im all ears. People may not like the guy but he is one of the best fits to our very restrictive list of needs.

Too late to sign RFAs but players without NHL contracts can sign right up til the trade deadline. Just look at Justin Williams recent signing with the Hurricanes.
