couple vets to help the kids

Description
Bonino is a perfect mentor for the young centers. Idk exactly what skjei would cost but every rangers asgm has him being traded so why not. Markstrom is one of 3 maybe goalies worth signing long term and Kevin miller just plays hard and leads and can play up and down the blue line. Get lucky and get the 1st pick and the scoring depth shows a little.

I have NEVER heard a Boston fan say anything good about Miller ever. The analysts on the NHL channel, NBCSN and the local guys on Fox Sports Detroit and all of them have said Yzerman is looking for more picks and not players.

IMO the Wings will be in a great position to pick up a couple of veterans to help transition their young players. Now they gotta be "good guys" who understand the Wing on ice situation. But there are plenty of teams that are cap strapped and would be more than happy to "give away" contracts. Might on be for one or two years, then the Wings will need cap (they hope) to sign big name UFAs or even their very good RFAs.

I agree with that I was just saying what I've heard. I work out of my house and the NHL network is almost always on in the background and since the Wings game is on NBCSN tonight. I think Nemeth was a very good signing but Erne has struggled and with the recent play of Givani Smith Erne probably wont be resigned.

It's more that theirs a real leadership void here and a guy like bonino can help with that. Plus you can't let the kids suffer too much. You have to try and get better. Bonino miller are 1 year deals and skjei is young enough to fit in with the rebuild.

Miller is just another guy and closer to nemeth but he's very defensively responsible and transitions the puck well. Plus he's been to the cup and playoffs a bunch and would be a good influence on the young d.

I forgot you are a Bruins fan as well. One thing I've noticed is Bruins fans on this site really don't complain about the injuries they've had not like other other teams.

They've had a lot but as long as things go good there's no reason to complain I guess. Plus theyre deep as hell and Cassidy is an awesome coach.

wings still have a bunch of older vets on the team not really seeing the need. i am more inline with the guy that said they need picks.

I want fresh voices in the room. Not the guys the kids have lost with for years now .
