Description

I saw an article about Smoking Joe possibly pulling a Borque at the deadline and waving his no trade to go to a cup contender to get his ring. He's old, but relatively cheap and I think he's still got enough in the tank to hold down the 3rd line. He could be a cheaper solution to our 2nd line wing problem by letting Coyle move up and wing the line he's eventually going to center. San Jose also was said to be willing to take on a bad contract if a pick was involved to help facilitate. So this also helps with our albatross problem, assuming Backes will go there.

Because Thornton has an NMC and hates the B’s org. His 2 goals on the season make this a terrible move as well, rather take a 7th instead.
