Lehner is so good he plays 1A and 1B goalies at the same time.

Personally I think Gus will walk or traded at draft/TDL
And I think caggiula will take less; 2M at most

You know those three players likely won't be on LTIR next year... this isn't going to work at all once any of those come back, and you only have one goalie

You forgot Ian Mitchell.

Let Gus go.

Strome over $5M is criminal.

McCoshen isn't getting more then $1M if that.

Kubalik is on pace for closer to $4M.

Caggs is more like $2m.

All three could return or all three could have career ending injuries. It’s too early to tell.

This is tough call. The Hawks surely will not get the expected trade value, and Gus is starting to show some signs of last season. I am in the camp that the Hawks attempt to sign him. If this holds true, then it will come down to whether there is room available in the cap. Gus will probably be a luxury the Hawks can’t afford.

Priority #1 is getting Lehner signed. I wouldn’t be surprised if he demands $9 a season. He has proven he is a starter for the last two seasons. Without him (& Crawford too), where would Hawks be this season?

Fix the f*****g power play and the team can make the playoffs. With their goaltending, anything goes.

Agreed. If Chicago remains in the hunt, then it is a safe bet he will stay for the push, and be moved at the entry draft. It depends on a GM who believes Gus would improve the power play, and what Bowman deems an acceptable return. I would think Gus’s value would be higher at TDL than the entry draft.

Caggiula is that prototypical player (the grinder) teams covet for the playoffs. He is playing great on the 1st line, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is traded at the deadline. If $2 million would be his salary demand, then realistically he will fall into a luxury the Hawks can not afford.

I expect Strome & Kubalik will be offered the same term as DeBrinicat (3 years) I ballpark $4 - 4.5 M for Strome, and $3 M for Kubalik.
