Bjugstad, Simon, 1st for Zucker, 4th - Switch the 1st for the 2nd that you got in the Vegas deal and drop the 4th.

I don't really think Zucker is worth a 1st either but thats what it will likely take. I'd rather see the Pens get Palmieri or Athanasiou but all reports indicate GMJR has put a bullseye on Zucker.

Then I pass. The Pens are in 3rd in the East with long term injuries to Crosby and other players. They do not "need". Zucker is not a difference maker. Zucker is NOT going to replace Guentzel. Zucker is a 45 point guy, not a 45 goal guy. There is no reason to grossly overpay when you don't have a "need" for that specific player. There is no reason to grossly overpay on a "settle for" guy when no actual top guys are available.

Zucker is fine if you already have him. He is not worth giving up a lot of futures for though. Rust and Kahun are basically bringing what Zucker would bring, and I wouldn't give a 1st for them either.

Once again as I said I don't think Zucker should be the winger the Pens target. But GMJR wanted him in the off season for Kessel and still wants him now. So it seems like a given it will happen. NOt that I agree with it but I also have absolutely no sway over the real life decisions made in the Pens front office.
Would you think that package would be worth it for Palmieri? Or maybe reworking it a bit for Athanasiou
