No it doesn't. Dumba isn't a top pair defender while Nylander is 100% a top line forward with his best years still ahead of him. Dumba is half of Rielly.

Maybe not half but he's a fair distance behind him.

How am I being biased for a TOR-MIN trade

Liljegren is going to be a top defenseman in the league come a few years
Johnsson can arguably be a first line winger in 2 years
Plus a first

For a defenseman that’s having a down year

?? Explain

That's a stretch on both prospects. You're either believing the TSN hype train or love the Leafs. Liligren is going to be a top 4 guy but not elite, and Johnsson is a mid 6 forward, with a late first.

I don't think its ridiculously far off because Dumba is having a down year but Guerin shouldn't be selling g him at a low point.

Especially if they’re gonna go into a rebuild

Not sure who needs to do the explaining here? Johnsson, 5 ft 10, 25 years old, has 6 goals so far this year on the top scoring team in the league, and that equates to a first line winger? The first is not even for this upcoming year. Liljegren certainly looks legit, but has played 1 game in the NHL. Dumba may be having a down year, but he has previously proven in past year to have what it takes to be top 2 defenseman. Somehow proving yourself in previou years and having a down year this year carries less value than smallish players who have never proven to be top line players in the NHL.

Key word “arguably”

I’m not saying johnsson is proven yet but he has lots of potential

So considering Leafs fans think the Dumba trade is an overpay and the Minnesota voices say it's not enough, I'd say I am roughly in the ballpark.

Dumba is a good player but if the Wild are going to rebuild, then they get 3 nice pieces out of him.

If Toronto is going to pony up for a top pairing RHD with Term, this is probably the best package they can muster without touching Rielly, Sandin, or the Big 4 forwards.
