Oh man, please don't do that NYI trade

I'm curious to hear your prospective. What about it don't you like? I posted this thought in another thread:

Consider it "two" trades. NSH has been trying to move Turris for a year with no luck. Cap hit is the same with Boychuk and NSH gets out of the deal two years earlier.

Rest of trade is for Arvy. I know he's having a down season, but still a top-6 guy for sure. I feel like a 1st, quality d-prospect, and Bellows (has been red hot - itching for a call up) seems in the ballpark for me. Especially if NSH feels the need to make a change (which we've seen multiple times in the past few years - Poile isn't afraid to make a move)

Arvidsson is not the player to trade in a retool. He is the best goal scorer on the preds and was one of the best last year too- on pace for 48 goals over a full 82 games. I wouldn't trade that kind of player for two b prospects and a late first. I don't see either Wilde or Bellows being big impact players in the NHL - fine complimentary pieces, but NSH doesn't need that. If I trade Arvidsson, I want better pieces involved, otherwise I'm happy keeping him and his fantastic contract.

What if it was Dobson instead of Wilde?

That would definitely keep NSH on the line - a trade for Arvidsson would revolve around their top prospects, and he is definitely one of them. It would give NSH some options to trade a D to fill the offense-void left by Arvidsson leaving. Interesting, but I don't see NSH wanting to trade Arvy or NYI wanting to trade Dobson.
