If Kovalchuk keeps this pace up I do that trade in a heartbeat. That is a massive price to pay for Tatar so I doubt Holland does that. If Oilers are back in the playoffs they can attract some talent on the wings in free agency without unloading a bunch of futures. I also don't see Vegas giving up Hague and a 1st rounder, probably just a 1st rounder. Who knows how comfortable they'll be with that coming up to a deep draft and sitting on the very edge of the playoff pool.

I don't know how many GMs care about a 7th round pick if someone re-signs. Two 5ths for Cousins, Vancouver may not take that because of Baertschi and co cap issues. I could see a few teams biting on that. Possibly Edmonton since it's a nice low risk Holland type trade. I have no idea who Martel is but Thompson would be a great character player for a Lightning team on the rise. And last, I don't know if Scandella is worth a whole lot anymore. Could resurge on the right team maybe?
