Sheary is a player that John Hynes is very familiar with in Wilkes Barre and has the same number of points and is an expiry deal like Granlund.

Miller gives them a D that can play on the second or third pair, and provide PP help and has two years left

I think adding both guys would enable you to buy some time for Mittelstadt, Cozens, and Artuu Ruotsalinen to develop. I’d love to give Mikael Granlund a look and see if a change of scenery helps

This is of course if the Sabres creep closer to a playoff spot. The Sabres are collecting a good amount of young talent as it is....I think buying some modest assets wouldn’t hurt to at least try.

I just don’t think they are in a position to trade first rounders and prospects right now.

Sens accept. Sobotka can be a warm body down the stretch while the Sens prospects make a run for the Calder Cup. Rodrigues could get a legitimate chance to play big minutes for Ottawa.

Nashville perspective

Watson is expendable and granlund isn’t doing much for us. Miller would help beef up the defense and sherry plugs forward hole for the year. I’d probably do it
