Would rather get a better prospect fit (a right handed forward or a center) and Carolina’s first. That Toronto first could end up being a 2021 first and this is the stacked draft you want all your firsts in. Haula isn’t needed in a trade.

Not good enough for Dumba, but I guess Toronto would be able to give us that pick if we owned both their picks?

Zucker trade is perfect and the exact trade I expect to see.

Honestly if the Wild are just worried about the playoff race, I don’t think that kind of move even takes them out of it. The defence trades will.

Bjugstad, Haula, and Ceci are all non-starters for me...unless the return in each of these deals increases.

Toronto can't make that deal because of the conditions on their trade with Carolina, and I'm not sure they would want to anyway. Dumba has been pretty shaky this year and there's no guarantee he picks up the Leafs system quickly and makes an impact. That's a lot of assets to spend on a question mark.

I’m a life-long and passionate Gopher hockey fan and I still don’t want Haula or Bjugstad...unless, like I said, the return was increased in those deals. And, I would only take Ceci in a deal that included Nylander.

I don’t think Toronto would pull the trigger on a deal like that if William Nylander is involved, and I would assume the condition would go to the next year if the pick is lottery protected.
