Description

From the Caps side, I think giving up a first for a player with another year of term is palatable. Coleman would improve the already pretty good PK on the Caps, and could add some more depth scoring on the third line. That and, we wouldn't have to worry about him scoring any more SHGs on us lol.

P.S., the cap works out if the trade is made at the deadline.

I don't think that really helps the Caps much. Trade Panik, a prospect and a 2nd, keep Hags on the left and move Coleman to the 3RW. Cheaper and shorter term left. Flexibility to put him almost anywhere in the bottom 6 and you've got room for Leason and McMichael in 2 years.

I can agree with that. I think it was more a bet on my part that Panik could end up being decent. He's been better recently.
