Lmfao.

EDM is not giving you a first for bottom tier players; they already full of them

30 goal scorer and a top 6 d-man? Something they desperately need. Yeah okay

@ a few EDM fans and peep their reply’s.

EDM is loaded with D so coburn doesn’t fit. Coburn could maybe beat our Russell but I mean it’s not a necessity.

Then the fact that they don’t have cap room to fit Gourde.

THEN, the fact everyone is trying to get rid of gourde, a bottom 6 player/ 3rd liner who’s great but being paid like a first-second liner makes his value drop hard. EDM could spend that 5+ mil from gourde on 30 different better things. Nurse can’t be signed if they take gourde is the easiest example. Not worth it.

This summer will be very interesting for Tampa. I'm not sure why those guys would waive their NTCs. Tampa is a really good team. The other part of this...is why are these other teams going out of their way to help TBL? EDM doesn't have the cap space and they need better prospect depth. I'm sure Stevie Y likes his old players, but he's no dummy. He needs a deeper prospect pool too and the DET 2nd is essentially a 1st.

***EDIT*** I think you're going to have to send Gourde to Syracuse and have someone else claim him.

If I were Tampa, I'd sell high on Killorn. His shot rate is declining (which is a massive red flag for the aging process and signals a drop off in the near future) and he is having a shooting % spike that may make him more valuable/ easier to trade.

Agreed 100%. His season this year could be making their life easier actually. Imagine if he was on pace for 30 points. All of a sudden moving him becomes a little harder now too. Now you got to try and find a place for at least one of Johnson/Palat/Gourde/Killorn with below average seasons and tricky NTC to get around.
