If we can't get Ehlers, you've gotta get the Bailey-Barzal-Labanc line. Bailey saucing to Barzy and Labanc is the lite version of a Ehlers-Barzy-Bailey line. otherwise though I would absolutely be willing to sacrifice a pick to get Komarov and his bloat contract the HELL out of LI, and I wouldn't miiiind Bonino on a retainment but I dont feel like we really need him that bad either. Getting rid of Bellows is definetly a risk-reward as he can either become just as good as Labanc or flounder out sort of like Cole Cassels did in Vancouver.

I would definitely do that Labanc trade. That's really good for both teams. I think he'd only take two years at that salary, but if we can convince him to sign for four years at $3M, that'd be amazing.

I think we can get a little more for Leddy. He's still an above-average top-4 defenseman on a great contract. Throw in a decent prospect with the two seconds.

No one is taking Komarov for just a pick. I think we can package Mayfield and Komarov together and get something decent, but I think what you have there is unrealistic.

I love that Bonino trade. Heck yes to that.

Pulock will get more years, but the dollars are perfect. Toews is good. Barzal I think will sign a three-year bridge deal with a high QO.

$3M for two seasons shouldn't warrant dumping Mayfield too. Maybe a secondary pick but nothing crazy

I think Mayfield has a ton of value and is one of our more expendable defensemen. It'd have to be in the off-season, but we can get a good return for a package of Mayfield and Komarov instead of dumping Komarov by himself.

Montreal doesn't want Nick Leddy.
