Description

This is just what I would want to happen. This roster would lose a majority of games this year and the next, but would also have 8 picks in the first 60 picks in the next 2 years.

Personally think Petry and Tatar actually get traded at the draft or around end of June, this is just a "what would I want now" post.

I assume that 1st is top 20 protected?

No need to trade Reaves if they're retaining.

Protection would be needed and I think they still retain because Vegas wont be done with that move. Also think Reaves has value to MTL, they need some size on the bottom line, especially with Caufield possibly playing the last month of the season.

I think Habs will try to resign Tatar and Petry to 2-3 year deals .... and if they don't, they will trade them by next season's TDL if not in playoff position again...

Could see Tatar being traded, but don't think Petry is traded because we simply don't have a replacement for him ATM.
