Pens sure don’t take it. Bruins should under normal circumstances. They don’t considering they have other holes to fix. Otherwise the value there favors the B’s.
Marino is every bit as good as Grizz, 4 years younger and still on his ELC. Go look at Jarry’s stats. He’s 10 years younger than Halak, not a UFA to be, and a legit #1 in the NHL.
You are wearing your heart on your sleeve.
Good explanation, I appreciate it!!
In all fairness, I would just be cautious about Jarry. Think about Andrew Hammond, Peter Budaj, or even Matt Murray. These goalie WENT OFF!!!! But then became irrelevant within two years, because that can happen with goalies. Star goalies, on the other hand, are there to stay (untill they start getting much older obviously). Tuukka, Price, even Devan Dubnyk has become a 'star' goalie by actually maintaining his good play.
Jarry is playing well, no doubt, but how long will it last. It lasted Budaj less than a season (though it got him traded for Ben Bishop), it last hammond the rest of the playoffs. Mike Condon lastest even less time in his "stardom" ...
We cant call him a god until he proves to be one for more than like 2 years
In saying that, I certainly may be off with Marino's value lol, but this guy also didnt know Griz's value (and he is gooooood if you watch him play), just needs to keep playing. It is only his third full nhl season, and hes getting better each year, late start lol
So fine, all things considered, still take out the bruins draft picks and make it a 2 for 2 deal...
But the fact that he called me a homer, its rediculous lol. Halak has proven himself to be a star again, and has been amazing for the bruins (gonna get at least 5 million wherever he goes in the offseason
