It might be a pretty fair trade, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense for the Canes. We’d be trading a pretty good middle 6 centerman (who’s been underperforming but could turn it around) and a pick for two players would wouldn’t be regulars on our game day roster.

I like ERod quite a bit, but I don’t think he becomes a regular and is in our forward rotation for sitting out games. I also like Miller, but I don’t think he’s as consistent on defense as the Canes want.

I like the trade but I can't see Botterill trading for a guy that can walk after the season is over and give up someone that will still have 2yrs left on his contract. It's the mistake Murray made with the Pysyk-Kulikov trade. If Haula leaves you are left with your richard in your hand...it's the type of moves that end up getting you fired.
