Marner and rantanen were the true $$$ outliers... BUT all the others set themselves up for really good next contracts when cap increases because of high qualifying number. which means they either get a new deal or go to arbitration and then go to UFA.

Point got 6.75 for a 90+ pt season. Cirelli is going to get between 3.5-4.25.

Tkachuk and Laine has 70 point season as wingers....and so a player with a 60 point season being a 2 way 2C will get similar

He may. It’s a young club where he could be a leader. That is where he and his wife is from. They have a toddler so being close to family a factor. Playing 20 minutes a night scoring 20 plus goals are good reasons.

Point got 6.75 and put up 90 pts...also no state income tax in Florida. There is no chance cirelli gets more than point.

TB would trade cernak or sergachev before they trade cirelli. He’s staying in TB. Also Hischier just signed 7.25 x 7 and he’s slightly better than cirelli.

This is some insider knowledge lol

That being said, Ottawa declines. Cernak is not needed on the OTT depth chart.

Gourde is 28 and has 5.1M for another 5 years. He is on pace for 32 points

We could accomodate Gourde's cap, but were not giving a pick 33-35 for him. Basically a first.
