I think from the Habs perspective, that could work but I feel EDM is looking at any JP trade and wanting to try and find a similar situation. Meaning they'd rather trade JP for another JP type player and hope they can regain the value they lost because JP hasn't worked out in EDM.

I think any JP trade has less to do with actual value and more to do with turning their once prized prospect into another prized prospect.

As a habs fan I would take that deal, JP is no sure thing but we picked up Kovy for peanuts so it could work out nicely. Adding him to our team and getting him with more Finns could be just what he needs.
