Clearly, his 100.4 MPH was rigged, right? Was this obvious to everyone but me?

Looking at the replay, his shot looked harder than Jones' shot.

i thought the same thing, theres just no way. only thing is is that apparently his shot broke the gun thing for jones' first shot. but even with that it looked about 75-85 range to me

Yeah. And they talk about how his record was 100.4 MPH, and he just happens to tie that exactly.

Exactly. Maybe the radar gun wasn't turned on from the start and the 100.4 was pre programmed on the scoreboard. Although, imagine if he shanked the shot and it still said 100.4? Gotta give MacInnis major props for ripping it on goal, even if it was only 80mph lol.

It was an homage to his actual record of 100.4. There's no way a 56 year old does that with a wooden stick.

I feel like a guy like Macinnis probably could still rip it at his age but yeah something felt off about the whole thing which makes me believe it was rigged.

I mean, he does look pretty good for his age, unlike Brett Hull for example. awesome face

The shot looked like it was 90+mph though. Still crazy impressive. Did anyone see the AHL guy set the all time record last night? Crazy.
