Hmm....

Deangelo: 66 points in 107 games over the last 2 seasons in which his most common linemate is Marc Staal.
Nylander: 66 points in 100 games over the last 2 seasons in which his most common linemate is Auston Matthews.

If you think you'd trade Krebs for Nylander straight up then cool. But frankly I don't think this is close.

The craziest part is the junior numbers just for comparison since the age difference. Deangelo (like Krebs also on the worst team in the league) puts up a better point rate than Krebs in his draft year.
Then we cut to draft year + 1. And in the 1st part of the year, Krebs is on a 27-16 team putting up 1.3 points/gm and Deangelo is on a below 500 team putting up 1.3 points/gm. Then Deangelo gets traded to an above .500 team and his point rate jumps to 2.0.

Here's the list of Dmen that score points at a better rate than Tony Deangelo
1. John Carlson
2. Cale Makar
*end of list*

Please step your trade game up. Both those guys are on playoff teams that score a ****ton more goals and have the puck a lot more. Deangelo is driving this all himself.

Now let's extend it out to see where Deangelo ranks among the last 2* seasons in scoring rate.

Here are the dmen with a better scoring rate over the past 2 seasons(that have played in both seasons):
1. Carlson
2. Josi
3. Rielly
4. Burns
5. Karlsson
6. Hedman

That's it. You'll notice all of those men were on playoff teams last year and all of them are on teams that score a lot more goals and possess the puck a LOT more than the Rangers. Please do better....

The best DeAngelo deal is to not trade him. The guy is a gem. This coming from a Habs fan watching McDonagh and Sergachev in Tampa and Montreal having only Drouin to show for it.

Ya man, I do not want to see him gone. He generates a lot of chances offensively and is a great QB on the PP. Rangers have a lot cap issues though going into next year and I do not know if they will be able to afford it.

If they do decide to trade him, I am hoping Nils Lundkvist could step in right away once he comes over from Sweden. He is having a monster year in the SHL.

You ain't getting Krebs for a guy NYR will be forced to trade due to salary demands. That diminishes his value slightly.

I think they'd do Tuch though.

Besides, didn't you hear they're trading Krebs, Glass and their 1st for Jeffrey 'the franchise' Petry.

I guess trouba and fox so you can trade a Rd and he's the odd man out but what do you really need for him. It seems more rangers like to get a more established player for him.

everytime you speak you just come off as a major douchbag. you're right for the most part here but your delivery makes people want to kick you down the steps.

FYI, san jose is in the bottom 5 in scoring and ottawa was in the bottom 5 in scoring last season.

They shouldn't have any problem extending him. I bridge deal is stupid bc Tony's so good, but that'll easily get them thru until $24million worth of Staal, Shattenkirk, Smith, and Lundqvist's come off the books. Vegas, meanwhile, has very little cap space and one RHD

... if they decide to keep him it would be skjei being traded. So not issues either cap then

Guess again on Vegas having no cap space next year.

And NYR signed Panarin just to move Kreider, Buchnevich, Strome, Skjei and play Tony D at LD? Where's the secondary scoring coming from? Even if they move Smith they'd barely squeak under an 83m cap. Good 1st line, good production from their back end, no secondary/tertiary scoring. You better hope they get some good young forwards back for Kreider and Buchnevich.

What's the point of adding Trouba and Panarin if they don't spend money on 2nd and 3rd liners? Why should Tony DeAngelo take a pay cut when he just took one this year? He's due 6m+! Remember, he earned a nice contract last year.

This all seems very pie-in-the-sky to me. There's a reason you've been making DeAngelo trade scenarios. You know they can't keep him.

They easily can I never said they will and I want them too Bc they can get a ton for him. But they can easily keep him and have secondary scoring with youth coming up and pieces from Georgiev and Kreider trades
