Could be totally wrong, but feel like NYR want a younger almost NHL ready player for Georgiev, team control for 4 years. Idk much about Trenin but he’s young and would seem NHL ready?

It seems like Trenin is playing a more regular role on the team so you could be right. I thought Jankrok because of his pk abilities, good price Tag and he can play up and down the lineup. Then Tolvanen for young and skill a potential. Also he Finnish like Kakko.

Honestly I'm not sure how high Georgiev should be valued. He's having a decent season, he's athletic and poised but still vulnerable to those games that get away from him. He hasn't proven it yet to be worth a ransom imo. I'm sure NYR fans won't like that, but teams would still be trading for potential. And goalies don't garner great trade value. So I'm curious to see what he moves for, if at all

I think Georgiev being a RFA for 4 years also plays into his high trade value. A team can give him a 3 year deal at the $2.25M range and still not lose him after that deal since he’ll have one more RFA season. Facing 45-50 shots a game with some of their older not so great dmen and young not fully ready dmen, it’s kind of hard to save 40+ every night.

It is really hard to determine what his value is based off speculation. There are people like Dreger reporting that Kappenen doesn't even get it done. I disagree with that because I think if that offer was even on the table, the rangers would take it.

Curious to see how this all plays out, the asking price is a young NHL forward right now that can contribute now or possibly next year. Whether the rangers get that is a different story.

Yeah Rangers decline....

The conversation for Georgiev is around guys like Lebanc and Kapanen.....Tolvanen isn't really in that conversation.

I like Johanson to mtl. Bonino and Turris have a lot less value, and they just got Duchene so he actually makes the most sense to move. And MTL has needed a 1C forever. (They still would lol)

That’s a no from Columbus... not to mention the fact there just isn’t enough value going to Columbus, but we aren’t moving Savard without an upgrade at RHD coming back.

I'd expect that package for a Ryan Johansen reunion, not dumping Granlund and a borderline prospect.
