Description
In my plan, Weber retires at the end of 2022. His Cap hit gets transfered to Suzuki or Byram

Tatar and Danault and Gally re-signed as UFA's in june 2021. Will eventually become effective 3rd liners in 3-4 years. Top 6 until then.

Mete is traded in 1 year, until Byram and Romanov get a little of experience

You want to get rid of Alzner yet you're still 10.5M$ under the cap?

welcome to our fan base's lack of vision
    its frustrating sometimes

Alzner like Bryan Allen is a leader in Laval and cost's us nothing we need with his contract coming up in 2022 we'll live
Like with Bryan Allen we'll simply forget about him once we make a playoff run

To be fair after July 1st of this year (Day of his signing bonus) he could easily be shipped to a team needy to hit the cap floor. His cap hit will be 4.625M$ for 2 years but real money is going to be 1.5M$ and 3.5M$. I'm pretty sure he can still be a good depth defenseman (6th-7th) in the big league but Montreal has a mindset to play youth (Mete-Fleury) on their third pairing, instead of not playing he's sent in the minors. I wouldn't be stocked if he was dumped mostly at no cost in the next year.

i'm still of the opinion MTL package's him and Byron together to send to Seattle with our 2nd .
i think you'll see Seattle copy VGK plan in collecting 2nd's and 3rds for taking these type deals and 1st to avoid losing exposed prospects the team values enough to move a pick but couldnt protect .

Byron and Alzner would likely both start and become the Engelland and Eakin as bottom pair/line leadership .
likely their top 6 will be a bunch of hungry middle 6 forwards
