Tarasenko

Created by: AndrewLadd
Team: 2020-21 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 26, 2020
Published: Jan. 26, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Theres about a .1% chance this would happen, but who knows, maybe Doug Armstrong says, "hmm, we're really good without him, maybe we can get a whole lotta value back in a trade." Also, this gives us the $$$ to resign our captain, as well as give Robert Thomas a bigger role and have Kyrou play." Then Lou says, "Maybe I should stop sleeping in my office and make a big trade to give Matty B a legitimate goal scorer, Tarasenko sounds like a swell idea!"

I’m afraid to ask this but how much more would it take

If it were to happen, the trade you made is kind of the idea, but I don’t really care for Leddy, Wahlstrom, or JHS

I had him but I switched him with Wahlstrom, who has the higher ceiling

Oh I gotcha, JHS is kinda a throw in, but I though Leddy could help the blues on the left side and that Wahlstrom would really help the prospect pool. But I’m also much more high on Wahlstrom than most

Honestly the Tarasenko trade isn't that far off. But STL will have to be blown away to move him.

STL would need a young NHL forward coming back. I think if Beauvillier was in the trade, it would certainly be closer.

They'd most likely require Dobson, since Petro might be walking and new RHD might be in their interest.

Pulock is another option, too, but then the roster player needs to be better than Komarov. Maybe one of Nelson, Bailey or Eberle...

Tarasenko and Sanford for Pulock, Beauvillier, Wahlstrom, and a 2020 1st.

From a marketing perspective this can't happen. Even if the value is good, Tarasenko is the #8 top selling jersey in the NHL. Provides way too much fiscal value to the franchise to move for futures.

Still uncertain if that's sufficient bribery for taking on Komarov, for the record. wink
