The MIN trade is terrible for the Oilers, and also makes no sense. Why not just sign a UFA backup? The 2020 3rd is most likely going to CGY in the James "Real Deal" Neal Steal.

Jimmy Vesey signed his current contract for 2 x $2.275M after 16- and 17-goal campaigns. This year he's on pace to score 10. Why does he get a raise?

I don't think Kassian is worth that much, but it's in the range of what is being reported (speculated). He doesn't score any better next to McDavid than Archibald, Caggiula or Rattie do (did). I would go $2.25M x 2.
