A second for Kovalchuk? Jumpin crickets... No.

If Ovechkin wanted Kovalchuk on the Caps, heck, if Ovechkin didn't "not" want Kovalchuk on the Caps, Kovalchuk would have been on the Caps before signing with Montreal.

No. I stand by it. What part do you find silly? The logic of it? Or that it just makes sense?

The Jumpin Crickets line and Ovechkin is not a general manager and that's not how the hockey business works. And if it did, GM could have said we'll wait until he signs and see what his contract is like and how he does until the deadline.

Jumpin crickets is because you are not allowed to swear on here. it's just a clean replacement for holy S or JC or whatever. It makes me chuckle that you found that distracting.

If you don't think that a team's star player has any pull when it comes to signing, or not signing, someone, then you really do need a lot more life experience.

When you have no facts and resort to insults. Classic! Love it.

You mean like opening with saying that what someone posted is a silly comment? Did you forget that you started with that? That feeling that you just got right there... life experience.

At the end of the day the rumored return is a 2nd round pick to START. Fact. Do research then come back. A 2nd round pick means close to nothing to a contender especially when it's essentially an early 3rd round pick. Probably a 5 pick difference. The way Kovalchuk is playing he is worth a 2nd and if he continues to play that way or better his value will go up. Very affordable player to cap strapped contenders. Life experience and common sense.

So are you saying that you are okay with insults when they serves your needs, but just can't handle anything coming back at you? Gotcha.
