That may be too much for Dumba wouldn’t give up Kuznetzov

I have to first ask the question, why is Kuznetzov available?

Without knowing, I would probably say no from the Wild’s perspective, but I will also probably be in the minority here. IF I thought Kuznetzov was enough to resurrect the Wild, or he was about 4 years younger, I would pull the trigger, but He is not so I would have to pass. The Wild need prospects and picks, IMO...not current NHLers...even ones as good as Kuznetzov.

A rare-as-hens-teeth Eli AGM where I am not sure if the Caps would go for it.

Staal is liked in Minnesota, but he is old on an old team. He would become the Caps oldest player by over a year.
Dumba... doesn't seem the same since his injury.

Is Kuznetsov still having candy-time issues?

do you think Kuzy's value will be lower bc of the coke issue?

Thanks. I don't actually know if he's available. But Dumba would bring some puck movement and all the non-Kuznetsov trades that Caps fans post for him get shot down. What kind of picks and prospects do you have in mind?

edit: okay.... just saw your post trading Dumba for a player and two late 1sts.... That might be more than WSH looks to give up, although something like Johansen and a 1st might be doable, with a player thrown in to balance a little bit of cap.

Yeah, wouldn't think it's fair, straight up, even with the age difference. But Boyd alone isn't getting Staal. Is total value close?

That's the thing, I haven't seen anything recent.

Neither have I. A different Caps fan posted this as a one for one a few weeks ago and a different Minny fan offered to throw in Zucker, which I think might have been hyperbole, and also just wouldn't give the Caps enough centers... although they could trade for one, I guess.

Trading Kuzy opens up a much bigger hole than the one that gets filled
