Blaming a bad contract in Pittsburgh ... on Leaf fans.

Funny considering this isn't a bad contract. Factor in the offer he signed this past offseason, his cap hit would be at 3.5. This contact was agreed upon since the summer and hes living up to it.
Johnson has inflated ice time due to his usage on the PK and moving up the lineup to replace an injured Dumoulin. At 5v5, Pettersson has been stapled to the second pairing the entire season with Schultz and then Marino as his partners. He also isn't used on the PP.
Oh my bad.
For some reason I keep forgetting that PK ice-time doesn't count.

I stand corrected.

Amazing that you don't understand that 2nd pairing usage and deployment at 5v5 is not the same thing as total ice time. But ok. You have a nice attitude.

More like congratulating Rutherford on a good contract locking up a young top 4 dman to $4 mill a year. You were close though, maybe next time you'll have a better understanding

OK sure ... 2nd pairing usage at 5v5 is agreeable ... but since he doesn't kill penalties or play on a PP ... he's still used less than 5 other Pittsburgh defensemen overall.
